Fabulous bread dough, the richest I've ever made, thanks to the Best Recipe

I gave away the cinnamon rolls unbaked. But they sure turned out lovely, thanks to the precision of dental floss.

The peaches were starting to turn to vinegar, so I baked them in bread dough

The cake turned out too dry (The recipe was for tres leches cake, but of course I don't have any rum) But it's pretty and made fairly decent french toast.


Zucchini, tomates, basil and keilbasa on pizza dough

I overloaded the dough, so the middle turned out a bit soggy. But otherwise it was fabulous. I did long for some parmesan though. I'll make it again.

Those hats are fabulous. I like the one with ears; it looks like it ought to be someone from the Hundred Acre Wood, although it would have to be a new character.

Immoral Equivalence, Self Defense, and Violence

Our descent into moral incoherence is well documented and frequently mourned. But it's still astonishing. I was reading an article about extricating oneself from Amazon's clutches because I would prefer to give Mr. Bezos a little less money. The article in question did not suggest that maybe Mr. Bezos has his fingers in too many pies and ought to have his influence curtailed before he overestimated his importance. No, the article made shooting people and offering NRATV as morally equivalent. This bothers me. Guns are  dangerous. And there are people aplenty who are much too excited about owning them. Others who own them and don't give thought to whether they ought to own them. Or whether their firearms might be accessible to the irresponsible and malicious.
